Welcome to the Website of Bishop Gwynne College

A Letter from Principal Samuel Galuek

The Bishop Gwynne College Crest

Founded in 1945, Bishop Gwynne College is the oldest theological college in the Episcopal Church in South Sudan.

We train priests and evangelists for the Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan – men and women from all tribes and provinces are welcome at the college. Most of those in the college are already ordained or in post in their various dioceses.

Some are from other churches. We also welcome independent applicants.

Since 2010, Bishop Gwynne College has expanded rapidly thanks to the dedication of its staff, and the generous gifts of those both within and outside the country.

Currently affiliated to St Paul’s University, Limuru, Kenya, Bishop Gwynne College looks forward to becoming part of a new Episcopal University in South Sudan, and a time when it can move from the current University Diploma programme into one in which it can take students on to degree level.
